Exploring E-Learning Game Design Challenges
As an eLearning developer, staying updated with the latest trends and techniques is crucial to creating engaging and effective online courses. This week, I stumbled upon an insightful blog post on the Articulate e-Learning Heroes website regarding e-learning game design challenges.
Building on the design concepts and visual storyboards from the previous week, this new challenge focuses on creating a functional prototype to test the game’s functionalities and interactive components. This is an exciting opportunity to bring my ideas to life and get a preview of the key features and gameplay interactions of my game.
The Challenge of the Week
This week’s challenge involves building an interactive prototype to test specific functionalities or components of the game. It serves as a midway point between the initial design concepts and the final version of the project. The goal is to create a working model to test and refine over the next two weeks.
By focusing on the essentials and basic interactions, developers like myself can get constructive feedback and make necessary adjustments before moving on to the production and development phase.
How to Participate
- Goal: Create a rough prototype with basic interactions and navigation
- Deliverables:
- Create the basic game functionality with questions, scoring, and feedback
- Focus on core interactions and basic navigation
- Submit for initial feedback on Review 360
