Are you a coffee lover struggling to kickstart your mornings without caffeine? Well, you’re not alone. Renowned neuroscientist, Andrew Huberman, host of the influential Huberman Lab podcast, has a game-changing morning routine that might just change your perspective.

Huberman emphasizes the importance of exposing yourself to sunlight within 30-60 minutes of waking up, engaging in light physical activity, hydrating well, and most importantly—avoiding coffee for the first 90-120 minutes. Yes, you read that right!

In his own words, “I highly recommend that everybody delay their caffeine intake for 90 to 120 minutes after waking. Clear out that residual adenosine and avoid the so-called afternoon crash.”

Furthermore, he advises limiting caffeine intake after 4:00 p.m. and possibly cutting it off by 3:00 p.m. to ensure a good night’s sleep.

Feeling skeptical? Wondering how this advice aligns with the coffee connoisseur, James Hoffmann, author of The World Atlas of Coffee, and creator of a popular YouTube channel dedicated to coffee artistry? Watch the video above where Hoffmann delves deep into the research behind Huberman’s unconventional advice, aiming to uncover whether it’s a wake-up call worth heeding or just a buzzkill.
